About me

I was born in 1971 with the chime of the cathedral bells in Reims , France.

Then, I spent my entire youth between the southwest near Toulouse and the southeast, with my grandparents between Aix-en-Provence and Mandelieu.

I found my passion very early in the artistic expression of the body, classical dance.

I was given the opportunity to enter the dance conservatory in Toulouse, but as I was too young, my mother refused. This setback would push my desire for artistic expression back to later.

It was my grandfather who opened another door for me because he had an easel with pots of paint that fascinated me, and the day he gave it to me, I was able to dance with my brushes.

I continued my university studies in Toulouse and obtained my degree in foreign languages applied to business and commerce (English, German, and Russian). At the same time, I took classes at the Tarbes School of Arts, where I worked as an English teacher. This is how my passion for body expression began to unleash itself on canvas.

I learned the classical way, that is, by copying the great masters. At the time, I was captivated by the genius of Van Gogh, Cézanne, Dalí, Hopper, Pollock, and Picasso.

At 30, seeing that I didn't fit into the boxes set by society, I decided to go into exile and live in Los Angeles, where I set up a studio and sold my first paintings.

That's when I started to believe in myself. My desire to travel then led me to take the experience to Australia, to Melbourne, where I was able to exhibit my paintings at the HO Gallery, with the help of my brother who had joined me.

Back in France, I continued to exhibit in Toulouse in several places.

When I turned 40, I decided to leave teaching, which no longer suited me, to work at Sotheby's on the Côte d'Azur. Having spent all my holidays in this region, it was for me a return to my roots and to the unique and exceptional light that all artists seek.

This radical career change took up a lot of my time and energy, but I still managed to exhibit in a village near Saint-Paul-de-Vence, in La Colle sur Loup.

That's when I met my husband, who brought me to Switzerland.

Since then, I have more time to improve my technique, evolve and enjoy fulfilling my passion.

What drives me to paint is a healing impulse. I believe art is a way to share emotions and transcend our humanity.

Art has no barriers, no language, it is universal, like music, dance…. It speaks directly to the heart or not and it is there to be shared.

Some people think that everything has been seen in art, and that artists copy each other, but it has always been like that since the dawn of time... We are inspired by each other! I just think it's a shame that art has become so commercial and superficial.

What ultimately matters is the authenticity of the emotion that art generates in you.

I've never liked labels, and I like having the freedom to say that I don't identify with any school. What inspires me are nature, vibratory emotions, the impermanence of life, which I transcribe onto my canvases.

When I paint, I am no longer there, I am completely inhabited by the canvas and the movements of my brushes, I sometimes even have this feeling that it is not me who is painting! It is a moment of pure concentration and intense pleasure!

Oil painting is my favorite medium for its texture and the multitude of possibilities it offers. My technique varies depending on my tastes.

My style evolves, changes and adapts to my feelings and what I want to share.
